Biography
My name is Martin Baturina, and I was born on February 16, 2003, in Zurich, Switzerland, where my father was playing football at the time. Football has always been part of my life. My father, Mate Baturina, was a professional footballer, and from a very young age I dreamed of following in his footsteps.
I began my football journey in the youth academies of Hajduk Split and RNK Split before joining Dinamo Zagreb’s academy in 2017. Those years were fundamental to my development, helping me improve both technically and mentally while preparing me for professional football.
In 2021, I made my first-team debut for Dinamo Zagreb. Over the following seasons, I established myself as one of the club’s key players, winning domestic trophies and gaining valuable experience in European competitions, including the UEFA Champions League. Playing at that level helped me grow as a footballer and gave me the confidence to compete against some of the best players in Europe.
In 2025, I took the next step in my career by joining Como in Italy’s Serie A. It was an exciting challenge, and I embraced the opportunity to test myself in one of the world’s most competitive leagues. My goal has always been to keep improving, contribute to my team’s success, and continue developing every season.
Representing Croatia has always been a great honor for me. After progressing through the youth national teams, I made my debut for the senior national team in 2023 and had the opportunity to represent my country at UEFA Euro 2024. Wearing the Croatian shirt is one of the greatest privileges of my career.
As a player, I enjoy creating chances, controlling the tempo of the game, and helping my teammates with assists as much as scoring goals myself. I mainly play as an attacking midfielder, but I am comfortable in several midfield roles. Every day, I work hard to become a better player, and I hope to achieve many more successes with both my club and the Croatian national team.
